Apologies for the delay on reporting back - spent a therapeutic few hours yesterday dead heading darts and checking the general quality of the ones in the dart pool to get rid of the junk. We now have a cleaner pool and some waffle tips on order to replace the losses. Thanks to BGUK and FDS for the advice on those.

So Saturday didn't look very promising, in fact it was promising snow, which failed to materialise much to my kids disappointment. I think my son fancied a bit of winter warfare. Despite the cold, nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of the 55 nerfers who came along to GuN 14.

Parents, kids, friends, family, all got stuck in despite the chill and had a blast enjoying Freeze tag (literally!), HvZ (now a traditional favourite) and Flux which was a new one for us (thanks B.U.R.N.) and seemed to go down well. And then a round of Terminator to finish off  although our terminators need to up their game for next time Smile

After a brief break we went into the 13+ session with fugitive (thanks to my son for running this one for me so i could give my voice a rest!), Defend the core (with well planned tanning tent pill box placements!) and we ended with some quick and dirty rounds of TTT. All i can say is trust no one when playing this!!

The new vests to identify teams worked well. Everyone was great about keeping off the grass and we still had plenty of movement around the building and car park. Rivals rock and we need to think about keeping those for the 13+ games only!

And we should be back doing it all again and more for next month! See ya then!

The "sunny" Blackpool contingent was of sufficient size as to warrant 2 cars this time, and so after only the smallest amount of farting about, we made our respective ways to Farsley for what promised to be a great day. A fair drizzle on the way there. Then I said those fateful words "This'll be as bad as it'll be today, I'm sure." It then promptly got worse. I foolishly repeated those words....and it got better, with hardly a spit for the rest of the day!

What followed was a good few hours of fun, with all of our throng from ages 8-33 had a great time. As usual, nice to put a few names to faces.

Personal favourite moments ware the looks on people's faces as they saw me using an Ionfire as a primary, backed up with a Rapidstrike. I kid you not, I got 15-20 kills with it over the course of the day, with a few more upgrades I reckon it might actually have a place in a war. And, using a Stratobow in HvZ - something that I think works really well, and I will be Legolas-ing it up again in the future.

Play of the Day for me goes to a young'un by the name of Andrew; we had been in a fight with two or three enemies down the long corridor. We'd taken two out as I ran dry - he just ran forward blasting and got the last blighter as I was fumbling with my mag. Good job, young'un!

Looking forward to coming again, aiming for it to be April. Hopefully have two upgraded Stampedes for then.

Very Happy

*Twibz-y

Yarp, was worth the faffing when I got a kill. Fave one was behind some cars shooting across carpark, two young'uns looking at me like I dropped out of a tree for using it, when I called a shot at a fair distance and made it. I'll never pull that off again.

Justajolt, is my awesome 5n1p3r making it onto your channel for youtube's amusement?
