Bought on Saturday and unboxed this morning!

1. I like its compact size which, for me at least (5'9") doesn't seem too small.
2. It's a heck of a lot of fun to slam fire. 30 HIRs get chattered through quite quickly.
3. Whilst it's easy to load and I love that I'm not going to need to invest in lots of extra mags, the openings of the ammo tubes are small enough that I can see reloading on the fly during a game to be a bit challenging. I'm looking forward to using it at some point to see how it goes.
4. The barrel rotating mechanism is very clever and follows the following rules: A. Barrel at the bottom fires when trigger is pulled; B. Barrels rotates clockwise; C. Barrels are loaded by the first internal mag they encounter with an available HIR.
5. THE ABOVE MEANS THAT: In a Nerf War situation, with an empty blaster, I believe the left hand internal mag (blaster held pointing away from yourself) should be loaded first, otherwise you will dry fire once or twice before letting loose an HIR.
6. The rounds seem to hit quite hard, but seem to pull to the left. I still need to verify this with more testing though...

Overall, this is the first Rival Blaster (in stock form) that makes sense to me as a Nerf war practical blaster, not needing the purchase of lots of expensive mags (or, even worse, not even having spare mags available for purchase... yes, I'm talking about YOU, Khaos...)  and being able to be re-loaded on the fly whilst also having a decent fully loaded capacity.

Me Gusta and I'm glad they thought of that! (Although the Cynic in me knows that they released the Rival blasters [and this is a universal retail strategy anyway, selling goods with planned redundancy] in the order they did because no one would have bothered with the Atlas or Apollo if this one had been first).

does that mean you could preload 3 in the chambers to get 33 in total?

I just also discovered that you can also leave the loading hatch open, shake it about and NOTHING COMES OUT! Genius!
