Post Birmingham HvZ  Reply with quote
So I am a tad new to the nerfing world, I currently own a few and have braved to Mod a handful (that actually became better anyway) with that introduction done, I was amazed to noticed that HvZ was not very common in the UK, infact it hasn't been some activity in some time. as new nerfer I am looking to increase my on field experience as well as have fun.

I guess I am looking for a place (indoors or outdoors) for various Nerf games in Birmingham, I have played Capture the flag with a few friends and I found that extremely fun with Nerf guns but I really do want to up the scale, if anyone can round up a game in Birmingham feel free to let me, you can count me in and I can drag a few of my mates just to have some fun Smile

Thanks for reading

I'd be happy to hear about (any) Nerf events in B'ham too. I live about an hours' drive away, so would be happy to support Nerf events in the area (as long as they don't clash with all the other things that end up scheduled into my calendar).

I'm also planning to get to Bristol events in 2017 (again, about an hour away for me), so having two Nerf hubs a sensible drive away would be awesome. Because while driving up to GuN events is possible, it's not financially feasible for me to do so, just to fling foam.

Theres a sizable bunch of players located near enough to Birmingham to get something running, though it might be worth holding off for a couple of months until the BritNerf Ltd plans kick in and you can get access to the public liability insurance, which should make securing a venue easier.

Having a whole war focused on HvZmight not be the greatest, ZHoM have tried with only limitied success. The structure I had built at guN and that BB have used works well, with some warm up games, and then a mixture of other game types, with the BUZAN style of HvZ being a popular game type.

Keep us informed, and a couple of us will assist where we can

I'm about a 20 minute drive away from Birmingham. I could attend any potential Nerf Wars you host.

I agree with Blindgeek, something running different games would become more sucessful than a dedicated HvZ game with multiple rounds.

I'd be happy to travel to Birmingham from my Location.

I help run Bristol Blast and we run HvZ if you wanted to travel down to us.

We have a date Jan 14th and will put up a thread later.

Me and mine are located at Derby and although I wouldn't have the time to organise an event I wouldn't mind helping as much as I can. Let me know, if there is.

The thread is old but the post is pertinent. Heads up new people.

The University of Birmingham have an active HvZ group and they're a friendly bunch. Although the campus games are closed to non-students (unless you ask really nicely), the do host a lot of games in a public park which anybody can attend.

That's a shame to hear, I was hoping for a university campus sort of game, when you do sort games out is their a way I can contact you in anyway, I don't like the use of Facebook or Twitter. but I really do wanna play, I have all sort of guns that I have opened up and such and just not enough people willing to play. so I group in birmingham that can accept me (to play with me) would be awesome.

I'm not associated with the group, I just know they exist and keep an eye on what they're up to.

I don't know if there is any means of contacting them outside of Facebook. You could try contacting the Students Union at the Uni and asking if they can put you in touch with the society.

Why not find a space and start a game? Community will help with darts.
