Post Accustrike Falcon Fire. + Quick spring and lock Mod  Reply with quote
So decided to take one for the team and try the accustrike blasters out, plus I liked the shells and was curious. Any way out the box the Falcon Fire performed awfully. No chrono data but in my shooting down the hallway tests it was way sub elite performance and probably not far of N-Strike   Shocked Apart from that I really like the feel of it. I find it comfy and personally like the shape and lines, think it would lend itself to an awesome paint job. Single shot breach loading means slow ROF and thus makes it generally impractical. Upon opening it up you are greeted with loads of locks which I pulled out straight away and then popped out the plunger mech. there are a couple of screws on the back of the plunger tube which give you access to the spring so opened it up and found the spring to be very like an elite spring so swapped it out for a BSUK elite upgrade. The plunger head seems to be a floating one and the breach pushes it back to the catch spring as you prime it where it locks into place then once you return the slide your good to go. The trigger pull is quite firm due to the design and was much firmer with the extra pressure from the new spring so needs a good solid squeeze to fire, which I like, definitely not a hair trigger. Huge performance increase with the new spring will need to test it some more and first impressions of the Accustrike darts are good but again will need to test them more and see how i feel about the "Accuracy". Did a wee unboxing quick review video that is currently uploading to my facebook page until I get my Youtube sorted out, check it out in the signature if you wish.

The box

out the box.

In the hand

Opened up, you can see the four locks under the breach.

Plunger tube front.

Plunger tube back.

Plunger tube parts.

AR in the back of the breach.

Spring comparison. BSUK one on top. No fuss, slotted right into place.

Locks removed.

New spring in place, ready to go back together.
