Well I've had a good day for myself, and hope the others will be one later to fill you in on things form their side, a quick round up then leaving the floor open to the peoples.

The weather was enough to leave us with the park mostly to ourselves, but not bad enough to hinder game play, so that's twice we have been in luck so far on that note.

We had at 16 ish players? I know we had two teems of 8 at one point but that might have been missing a few.

Many death matches for warm ups followed by supply drop and a supply drop/assault combo, and that was the regular games sorted for the day, no need for anything more complex and it seemed to do the trick nicely. A bit of pistol duelling over lunch and the day was finished with two rounds of zombie with slightly different rule set each time.

Was great talking to people and will be sharing other plans when they come about, go look at the drop page, and also know that another game that had been on the back-burner for over a year is also being worked on for what should be a brilliant day out early next year for about 50 people.

Had a great day, met some great people and as an introduction into the world of Nerf it was awesome. Definitely made me realise that I want to start modifying my blasters ready for next time and I leant a valuable lesson which was a dart from a supped up Stryfe  hitting you in the ear hurts lol
All in all a great day, looking forward to the next one and big thanks to Davidov for organising it.

Sorry about that.

had a great time today even if the weather wasn't so great,  met a bunch of amazing nerfers and got to finally test out my modded styfe in a large-ish scale event.

My thanks to Davidov for organizing the event and whoever it was that was kind enough to give us a lift to the station.

One of our comrades is looking at the site by the hospital near him, I do know some halls to rent but they aren't my first choice and will cost a lot if we don't get slightly higher numbers.

At £20 to £25 per hour being the rock bottom end of things, and these halls expecting us to have liability insurance in most cases, we'll need to try and get some hype behind it and aim for numbers closer to what the lads up Nerf are getting.

If we say 20 people, which I feel is a foreseeable goal, then we each bring a fiver, that's 4~5 hours. Something like that would need cardboard box cover, something the trees were great at today, but I have a plan.

Liability insurance is on the do list. Fear not comrades.

No worries, was all good fun and to be fair at least it didn't leave a mark unlike the hit I volunteered for from a certain longshot lol

I can't even see the back of my leg where I volunteered when testing that... I will have to remember to always check dart types BEFORE the volunteering happens in future as those really didn't help the welt avoiding.

I roughcut to the throat felt like it would cause a welt but all is fine.

The surprise was expected / I took the risk when I crept up on someone for the tag.

And yay for the youtube footage, I'm going to harass someone to specifically film a game in future and make a tongue in cheek "cool/edgy" advert out of it I reckon.

I've been looking at possibly some glasses with integrated video camera or a go pro with tac rail mount to get some first person footage of the action

I suspect the glasses won't be as high spec as the other options, but might give a nice look, I'm also looking at sorting myself out with an action cam some time before the end of the year, it'd be great for a group to collaborate to edit a war together from multiple angles.
