Working progress (not to everyone's taste)

So as I'm a little OCD and like to show things off here I have put my blaster in a flight case, kept me busy for a few hours anyway, just got to wait for my red light scope to turn up then I can add that I to it as well Smile

Sure, the spectre is basically a stupid strongarm, but it looks awesome and it has both a stock and barrel attachment point. I'll always admire it for that.

That is a very cool case! Neat work on cutting the foam.

What foam and foam cutting method did you use? I've been looking into doing something similar but am struggling with the foam shaping.

Thanks guys Smile appreciate it

The foam I used was the stuff that already came with the case, and the method I used was just scoring the foam around what I was going to putting there I.e the blaster, but I struggled to get a perfect cut so if I was you I would turn the foam so the face of it is on the floor and do a backwards mirror lay out, then do the scoring and cutting so that when you turn the face of the foam back round to you it will be a much better finish of the cut Smile

If you want to do this again look up "pluck foam", I use it for camera equipment and it looks fantastic.

If you want a professional finish to the foam and don't mind payng for it, you can always try KR Multicase.  They are a UK and US based company (factories in both countries) that do custom foam for wargames miniatures, and the website says to contact them for special requirements (no guarantee that they will do one off foam cuts though as I haven't used them for that).
OldNoob

They also sell pick and pluck foam (try typing that after a few beers) to fit their card based cases, which would hold a Stryfe nicely and are a similar size to the power tool case shown above.

Awesome thanks guys, I'll bare this in mind Smile

Hi I have done this before but I used black fabric and expanding foam.

Love the idea and execution. I an going to do another few for my personal blasters.

You missed the fact that it also feels awesome but yeah, it's impractical at the end of the day no matter how loveable it is.
