Modifying a Rebelle Spylight

So I'm doing a commission for my sister-in-law, and she wants to use a Spylight as a base for a cosmetic mod to match a Doublestrike, but I want to do some performance mods, so spring replacement is ordered, but I want to know if there's any point in taking the dart pegs out of the barrels.

I know what the post said about questions but this will serve as my build log once I get going.

Dart pegs done right are worth 2-3fps average on a stock spring.

Isn't the rebelle spylight a strongarm style blaster? I'd avoid a spring replacement if I were you, unless you really like wood nails and epoxy.

It's pretty similiar but has some differences in the piston. Whether any of those make them more durable I don't know. Mine was a little more powerful than my strongarms right out of the box, maybe an advantage of the fixed turret?

Perhaps, but either way. All thats really changed is the front end, the back is the same.

Oops, missed this at the time- the internals are actually pretty different, I think a lot of people assumed it's a reshell but it's parallel design basically, 2 variants on the same theme. Not that this means the strongarm's problems aren't also present in the rebelle o'course.
