Firstly, apologies if this post is in the wrong place, couldn't find a more suitable spot.

I have recently discovered a UK Seller on ebay specialising in upgrade Nerf Springs.

All his items can be found here.

I have bought a load to test out and so far I am very impressed with the.

The Hammershot Springs takes an otherwise stock Hammershot to 80fps.
Thats not the best upgrade, but at £3.50 each including postage, I feel that is a very affordable upgrade.

The Hammershot Spring gets you 90fps, which is that same as what my OMW Full Metal kit has been getting, and again, this is a fraction of the price.

The Cyclone Shock Spring comes in at 75fps, which is a decent return up from a stock performance of 52fps.

I feel these springs are worth the money. They are not going to set any records, but make for a very affordable upgrade.

I will try and update this post with other springs as I et through them.

I put in an order for 6 Hammershot springs, offered £1.50 each and it was accepted. I'm guessing that because you still get a postage charge per item, they might be willing to go lower as long as it all totals up to £1.99 per Item plus 1 postage Charge.

Oh and for anyone interested they're intended for 2x 4Victory, Hammershot, Sweet Revenge, Lawbringer and a Doublestrike

I'm quite lucky as he is local to me so I can avoid the postage charge altogether.

They are looking into making flywheel as well. It will be interesting to see how they come out.

Isnt the 4 vic/doublestrike a slightly different spring to the other hammer blasters?

Ive a feeling its longer and with out the flared end. Might not make a difference though.

Got a couple of springs on order from them now. Shame p&p isn't grouped, especially when buying several of the same item. But still a damn good price.

Was gonna get a hammershot spring and a couple of others, until I saw that its £14 to ship them to Malta. Individually. Ridiculous, even for a single hammershot spring.

Springs arrived today and shamefully it turns out that you are right. 4vic/ds springs are thinner, longer and whilst they do have a flare, the thickest part of the flare is the same size as the thin part of the upgrade spring. Tried turning it upside down (flare towards the hammer) and it didn't seem like it improved power at all, plus the flared end rubbed on some of the screw posts in the handle. I figure the lack of power stems from the reduced length, so I'm going to experiment with spacers to make up the missing space.

I have invited him to the forum and along to Bristol Blast. Hopefully he will take up my offer.

The guy who makes them is very accommodating, I'm sure if you message him he can do a group order and keep the postsge price down.

Chucked a couple in my RoughCut earlier. Impressive power boost, and hopefully not so much power that my gears will strip after a dozen shots.

Just adding my thoughts as I've bought a few for a range of different blasters.
I don't have a chrono so I'm mostly looking for a noticeable performance increase over stock spring and ease of installation.

Strongarm - Recommended!
Nerf Modification Upgrade Spring - Double Power Strongarm, Roughcut, Plus More
£1.99 + £1.49 Postage

Rampage - Recommended!
Nerf Modification Upgrade Spring - Double Power Retaliator, Rampage, Recon,&More
£1.99 + £1.49 Postage

NiteFinder - Recommended, provided you improve the plunger seal as well. Installation a little fiddly as spring is slightly longer than stock so needs a little encouragement.
Nerf Mega CycloneShock Upgrade Modification Spring - Double Power in Minutes Mod
£1.99 + £1.49 Postage

FireStrike - Recommended, but be aware that spring replacement isn't easy anyway on the Firestrike (I used this method https://youtu.be/nBcMXG067EI)
Nerf Modification Upgrade Spring - Double Power Strongarm, Roughcut, Plus More
£1.99 + £1.49 Postage

HammerShot - Works fine and easy installation but do checkout OldNoobs 12mm spacer data before thinking of purchasing any HammerShot Spring http://britnerf.co.uk/Hammershot_Shootout_about3105.html
Nerf Modification Upgrade Spring - Double Power Hammershot, Lawbringer,Plus More
£1.99 + £1.49 Postage

Retaliator - Not recommended. It seems the compressed length of the spring is just a shade too long. I've given up and bought an alternative spring.
Nerf Modification Upgrade Spring - Double Power Retaliator, Rampage, Recon,&More
£1.99 + £1.49 Postage

Overall they seem good for the price but still be cautious.  I've been really happy with 5 out of 6 springs and I'm already planning to buy again from this seller.

[MODS - I've replied as it's in line with discussion but feel free to edit to a fresh post if you feel it's more appropriate]

I can also recommend the Strongarm spring - we've had one in the office strongarm since feb, and its still fine, despite us putting about 50 shots through it each day

I've not had an issue with mine. It installed fine and seems to hit hard. Not had a chance to put it over the chrono yet, maybe I'll get a chance in the morning.

I wonder if you just got a bad spring?

All springs made in batches are guaranteed to a set tolerance, you can't have a "bad spring" in a monitored batch, it's next to impossible if the manufacturer is even vaguely competent.
I suspect this is a combination of a reduced prime length due to mechanical fit and variance in the Retal. I have seen some go together really well and others require hours of fettling. We are back to the old modders bugbear of toy tolerances.
This is why I am so mental about how things go together and why I spend hours and hours checking and honing parts for a oerfect mechanical fit. If you want reliable power there are NO SHORTCUTS.
