So it was the 4 year FDT anniversary last night WOW!

Before the main action of the night it was the return of Modshop, with Big Al and myself helping out the modders, this time in addition to our single shot pistols we added in hammer action blasters. The kids were all first class again and we've had a few come back to develop their loadout.
I particularly like the Lawbringer/ Nitefinder combo and its been great to see some of them continue with their modding at home as well.

Ok, on to the war!

First up as always, LOCKDOWN my fave 😊
The first round was epic all action but with 71 players a lockdown was going to prove tricky and although it ebbed back and forward no team secured the win.

Second round, both teams seemed to try a different tactic and cancelled each other out. Another draw.

Now for some DOMINATION
I thought the bibs had this one, but they couldn't quite keep it nailed down in the vital last seconds and the non-bibs got a reset a few times before the game timed out.

Second round the non bibs got a quick victory, although I think a few missed/didn't call their hits, I'll be sharper next time!

3rd game type was VOLLEYBOMB with the new 3 ball set up, excellent fun as always with the non bibs winning both rounds.

Finally a quick game of HvZ to finish, with one wee guy out running the hoard only to get scooped up my a brain muncher.

A night of thrills, spills and belly aches with a few players taking a fall (all ok though) some excellent play, I'm loving how the Modshoppers arent just relying on improved performance but are really improving there tactics. One of them winning a 5 on 1 battle using a firestrike, nice.
Then one of my troops ended up with a sore stomach so was a bit subdued on the drive home, which made a change.

Sweets for all on the way out the door too!

Cant wait to try a new skatepark down at the Works in Leeds next week it looks awesome!
Hopefully see some of you there.

Yep, really loved the modshop session this week, the kids coming along are all clearly into modding so it's a pleasure to work with them and pass on some knowledge and experience. It also is great to now have a decent amount of modded gear on the field as it makes the games way more interesting. Good start to the games with lockdown also my favourite but with the 71 players it was tough ask for a win. Unfortunately towards the end of the first round of Domination while running back up one of the ramps I managed to ping my old slipped disc in my back and colasped in a heap :0 I had to helped off to the side for a lie down and stretch my back out a bit so missed the second game. Managed to join in on volley bomb for bit but literally just sat at the back and pinged darts across the hall with my IMR rayven and avoiding the balls Very Happy Sat out HvZ as no way I could run about but hopefully I can sort my back out in time for Bristol Blast but at least there are no 10 ft skate park ramps to run up and down Very Happy

I'm here to fling foam and chew gum and I'm all out of gum.

Yeah, the introduction of more modded blasters coming into the mix is making the games really good.

I also like how they're using their experience in making tactical choices. I saw a couple of them switching to the modded single shotters for volleybomb where ranged shots are the order of the day then back to their hammershots for domination where close range multi shots are far better.

Its not all about the blaster 😊

Well done on a another great Modshop guys. Like you say some of these kids really are the future of modding - they love getting stuck in!

It was another great night, I'd say about 10 lucky noobs managed to get tickets before the inevitable quick "SOLD OUT" sign went up after an hour of sales, so good to see some new faces.

Highlight for me was getting the drone airborne - I can't wait to get some footage at The Works in Leeds next Saturday.
