Welcome to the forum. Tell us a little about your Nerf modding background. What kind of mods have you done/are planning to do?

Well , I've done a  Maverick . Nitefinder , Deploy , Vulcan , Proton , Barricade , Strikefire , Tek 6 and X- Shot Sidewinder and Various Homemade and Semi- Homemade Blasters , I've been properly modding since the start of Foam Nation and I plan to Mod a UMB , Longshot and another Barricade , I'm hopefully going to Angel Breach the Longshot and I'm definately integrating the Barricade as well as drop clip modding it. I have a blog www.nerfuniversal.blogspot.com and a youtube channel. I am good friends with MrMagicalUnicorn9 or MMU9 and I am hosting a private war in the summer. I am a very good modder ( in my opinion ) and I've only ever messed up 2 blasters in my time modding ( because of parts breaking)
So thats a bit about me , BBV

Hi guys,I'm Dreadstar from Glasgow,in the middle of my second childhood, well it must be,as I'm awaiting the birth of my second grandchild. I'm just a kid who never grew up,playing wargames for over thirty years, along with LARP & re-enactment.(The latter can and does leave you with some battlescars).
It became apparent about 5 years ago, that I was getting too old to wield the sword & shield anymore, and the armour(chain hauberk;coif & steel helm) were getting just a bit too heavy(38lbs in total, then you add your shield-12lbs and sword 9lbs). I'm now in my 50's,and decided to move over to R/C cars,1/8th scale nitro off-road,which I raced for 3 years before transferring over to 1/10th electric off-road & 1/12th Mardave circuit.

I modded my Night-Finder by replacing the kit spring with of all things an 1/8th scale off-road shock spring, which certainly does the job.

David.

That sounds awesome! That's quite a history. It's my pleasure to welcome you to the forum. I hope that we can help you in whatever way you need!

PS - Was this realistic LARP or more fantasy?

Sorry scouts,I should have been a little clearer there,it was fantasy LARP. Re-enactment was of the Dark Ages time period, towards the end of the Roman occupation of Britain,4th-5th Century A.D. around the time of the fabled Arthur.

Hey there, I'm Evozn and I'm an Aussie. Question, what kind of barrels are used in the UK; CPVC or Electrical conduit? I make tend to make homemades and paint blasters.

Hi, my name is Chris.

I live near the east coast of Scotland in the county of Fife.
I am in my 30's and just celebrated the birth of my fourth child, I am now outnumbered with three daughters and only one son Smile

I am a bit of a petrol head and own several cars, I love JDM cars (Japanese domestic market)

I got into Nerf last year when I bought my son a Vortex Nitron, Then I needed weaponry to fight back, thus starting a Nerf arms race Smile

I am on a bit of a collecting/buliding my arsenal at the moment which is growing nicely.

I am currently modding my first Maverick at the moment.

Chris

The short answer is neither. CPVC isn't availiable and electrical conduit here is too large. There is a thread started recently about barrel materials.

ah, found the introduction-thread Wink
Hi folks,
my name is Timo, 34 years old, and actually I live in Germany, not UK.
So please don't mind if my English is not that correct.
Me and a friend of mine we have an online-shop and provide modification-parts for Nerf-blaster.
I already posted some information on that here:
http://britnerf.myfreeforum.org/about250.html
We also have a big forum in Germany for fans of Nerf & Co.
You can find it here:
http://www.blasted.de

I am happy there is also a community existing over here and maybe I can show you some of our mods for inpiration.

CU,
timo

Post Hey all... Reply with quote
Hey all, I go by the name of soulatech.

I'm a 28 year old big kid! Used to play with Nerf as a kid & yesterday I ordered a Recon-cs6 & a deploy-cs6...hopefully they will turn up in the next few days.

I'm looking to modify them in the future but for now I'm thinking about a paint job for the deploy.
I used to paint games workshop models as a hobby as a teenager so I know it will turn out decent...but if anyone has any links to any tutorials that would be handy to have a quick look at.

A little about me:
I'm a graphic designer & my website is: www.soulatech.com if you have a few spare min to take a look that would be rad!
I'm really into Lego mecha, will be uploading some pics to my website soon or my blog not sure which one yet. :/

If the admin want's, I'll design us a nice banner for the top of the site, just let me know asap.

Look forward to the replys.

Welcome Soulatech! We're happy to have you with us. Sidenote: We generally do not allow the promotion of one's company/business but your post is acceptable. In the future it'd be more acceptable to put a link to your site in tag box which would make it appear on every post you make and not violate any rules. Welcome!

P.S. We'll get back to you on the banner thing. Smile
